About this data

Every figure on this site is a completed sale price lodged with HM Land Registry — the amount a buyer actually paid, not an asking price, valuation or estimate. It covers freehold and leasehold residential sales in England and Wales and is refreshed as new records are released.

Reporting lag: a sale only appears after it completes and is registered, which usually takes one to two months, so the most recent sales may not show yet. Prices are shown as recorded and are not adjusted for inflation. Some transactions (certain new-build, shared-ownership, buy-to-let portfolio and corporate sales) are recorded differently, and a small number are excluded at source by HM Land Registry.
